boat shoes
These shoes as at 9.2.08 are US SIZES! I’ve just had to return a pair of so-called UK size 9 which are labelled on the box as European 42 1/2 which is size 8 - 8 1/2ish! So you need to order a pair one size up. Other than that they are very good value. These will be my second pair of Rockport deck shoes - the last ones were worn most days every summer for the last 4-5 years. Comfortable, easy to slip on and remarkably hard wearing. Never go out of fashion as they were never in! boat shoes

Aldo shoes
I love these shoes, the design is really unusual - almost art nouveau in style. They look amazing on, the pictures dont do them justice.
The heel height is about 12cm (almost 5in, for some reason Aldo dont specify exact heel height) which is quite high but because these are platforms your foot wont be at such a steep angle, I find them quite easy to walk in. Also the straps are elasticated at the buckle for comfort.
My only (very minor) gripe is that they are not supplied with spare heel tips, this normally wouldnt be a problem but the heel tips are small and perfectly cylindrical - not like typcial heel tips. High heel tips wear down quite easily and it might be a bit hard to get hold of replacements I am going to check my nearest Aldo store. Aldo shoes
